Celebrate the arrival of Jesus! Like Simeon, who waited to see the Savior with his own eyes, we rejoice in the fulfillment of God’s promise and the gift of salvation.

Last week, we focused on the theme of peace and read about when the angels announced peace to the shepherds. This week, the story continues in Luke 2:22-33.

Just as Thomas saw Niagara Falls with his own eyes, and Nancy got to see her baby nephew, in today’s story, a man named Simeon got to see something with His own eyes that he had been waiting to see for a long time: the Savior.
